Roulette

One of the most thrilling and exciting games, both in online casinos and land based casinos is roulette. All because of the completely unknowable results of waiting to see where that little white ball will stop.

The game of roulette itself is made up of a roulette wheel, a white ball, a betting table, and sets of colored chips.

The whole objective of roulette is to guess where that little white ball is going to stop. This is a game of prediction, nothing more. And that is what makes it very easy to play. Players make bets on their predictions, or where they think the ball is going to stop.

A round of roulette begins with a player buying in by giving the croupier, or dealer, their money. The croupier then gives the player a set of colored chips. Most tables will have six to seven sets of colored chips, which means that only six to seven players can play at any time. This is because the different color chips help the croupier keep track of who has bet what on what—a different color for each player.

Once a player has his chips, he places his bets. The betting table is a bit more complicated than the roulette wheel, but don’t be intimidated by it. There are mainly two types of bets: inside bets and outside bets. Wagers that are placed inside the number grid are considered inside bets. These bets are riskier but they carry higher payouts. Wagers made in the betting spaces outside of the number grid are considered outside bets. These are less risky but the payout is not as high.

The croupier will call an end to betting, at which point players need to remove their hands from the betting table. The croupier will release the ball. Once it stops the results will be called, winning bets will receive their payouts and losing bets will be collected. The betting for the next round will then begin.
